Experts have explained why Elon Musk’s net worth has plummeted by a whopping $102 billion in just two months.

The richest man in the world has seen a huge hit to his wealth in recent weeks.

And one financial expert has lifted the lid on why the Tesla boss is experiencing such a drop.

While we’ll keep our tiny violins to one side for now – after all, the mogul is hardly experiencing the depths of financial woes, Musk has seen his bank balance take quite the hit recently, with his net worth dropping by around 24%.

According to a report by Entrepreneur, this is due to a plummet in Tesla share prices, which have dropped from $404 to $263 this year.

And there could be a simple explanation for the downturn in value, according to experts.

Fifteen people — including 14 children — were injured when a school bus overturned and landed on its side in New Jersey, and one child is now “fighting for his life,” officials said.

The bus was heading north on the Garden State Parkway with 31 people on board when it went off the right side of the road and overturned in Montvale at 7:39 p.m. Monday, the New Jersey State Police said.

One child suffered serious injuries, the 44-year-old driver suffered moderate injuries and 13 children sustained minor injuries, police said.

The child who was seriously hurt, a 14-year-old boy, was pinned under the overturned bus before he was rescued, and he’s “fighting for his life,” Montvale Mayor Mike Ghassali said in a Facebook statement on Tuesday.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.

The aircraft was a Eurocopter EC-135 helicopter, which crashed into a wooded area around 1:15 p.m. local time, the Federal Aviation Authority said in a statement.

It was owned and operated by Med-Trans, UMMC said.

UMMC confirmed that no patients were on board, and that the victims were two crew members and a pilot. Their families were being contacted, the medical center said.

“Earlier this afternoon, AirCare 3, our Columbus-based medical transport helicopter, had an accident in rural Madison County, north of the Reservoir,” UMMC said in a statement on Facebook. “Sadly, there were no survivors.”

The FAA was investigating in the immediate aftermath of the crash, and the National Transportation Safety Board said it was “launching a go-team to investigate” starting Tuesday.

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves released a statement on X saying, “It’s a tragic reminder of the risks Mississippi’s first responders take every day to keep us safe. Our state will never forget the sacrifice of these heroes.”
